Memories

Pupils of Mountnorris Primary School (1999) report:

“Mummy got to school in a car but she walked to school on dry days. Her
school had only two rooms, no PE or Assembly Hall and the toilets were outside.
The children learnt songs by listening to the radio. Another school made the
dinners and Mrs McGoughey served the dinners and washed all the dishes. Friday
was the best day because it was the story day and the sweetie day. On cold days
the teacher lit the fire and thawed the milk. Mummy said it tasted horrible.”
