CONDITION: No visible remains
A large, roughly circular “Fort” c.63m in diam. is shown on the 1835 OS 6″ map. Its S side was already apparently truncated by a road & later, on the 1863 map edition, it was marked simply as “Site of Fort”. There are No visible remains & it is possible that the small dome shaped glacial mound which occupies the same position may have been mistaked for an antiquity. This is in relatively low-lying pasture overlooked by higher ground to the NW.
