THE TOWNLAND OF LISNAGREE
The townland of Lisnagree is in the parish of Ballymore in Armagh County. It
is labelled number 32 on the map.
The Environment and Heritage Service Sites and Monuments Record (2002) notes the following in this townland:

CONDITION: some remains
A circular “Fort” is recorded on the 1835 OS 6″map, but this has been distorted by field boundaries & cultivation. The present dimensions of 43.5m E-W x 45m N-S are thus approx. A field boundary forms a chord across the N side of the site & N of this the perimeter is visible as a slight terrace. The SW & E sides have also been levelled, but can be seen as gentle scarps. A steep scarp falling 1.7m to the base of a waterlogged ditch 5.5m wide x 0.6m deep can be seen on S. See SM7 for detailed description & measurments.
